Workshop Controller Leighton Buzzard

We are looking for a Workshop Controller / Supervisor to join a busy commercial vehicle workshop in Leighton Buzzard working on all makes of vehicle from 3.5 – 44 tonnes.  Excellent rates and company vehicles provided

Key Tasks:

• Supervising the operation and control the work
• Allocating work to the relevant shift
• Distributing work to technicians
• Signing off jobs and inspection sheets
• Ensuring work is completed to a high standard
• Providing technical assistance as required
• Identifying and ordering parts as required and returning unused/surcharged/warranty parts
• Providing assistance to the workshop administrators to ensure work estimates are accurate and the correct authority is sought before commencing work.

Key Skills:

• Previous experience in similar position
• Outstanding customer service skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of individuals and groups
• Excellent multipersonal skills
• Ability to multi-task and to undertake complex work in a planned and systematic manner
• Capable of working under their own initiative
• HGV driving licence is an advantage

Key Benefits:
