What is Armed Forces Covenant?

It is a promise to support and treat fairly those who serve or have served in the armed forces and their families.

Signing the Armed Forces Covenant is a commitment by businesses to support the UK’s Armed Forces community, including serving personnel, veterans, and their families. By signing the covenant, businesses pledge to provide fair treatment to members of the armed forces community, which includes recognizing their unique circumstances and supporting their employment prospects. Signing the covenant is also a way for businesses to demonstrate their commitment to supporting the wider community and to show appreciation for the sacrifices made by those who serve. Additionally, it can enhance a business’s reputation and demonstrate its commitment to corporate social responsibility.

What does it mean to NN1 Personnel?

Signing the covenant means NN1 Personnel become a forces-friendly employer. It is a pledge that NN1 Personnel understands, commits and honours the Armed Forces and that we will support Armed Forces Community. We are committed to recognising those who have performed military duty

By employing reservists or veterans, we can help promote diversity and talent in our organisation. We can also benefit from their particular set of skills and experiences that they will bring.

How can you support the Armed Forces Covenant?

Every business, charitable or public sector organisation can join the community. They can make their own promises on how they will demonstrate the support.

There are various ways a business can support the Armed Forces Covenant, including:

  1. Hiring: Give equal consideration to veterans and members of the armed forces community in employment, and support their career transition.
